This research dealt with the definition of Kinayah (metonymy), its pillars, divisions, and purposes, then the comparison and balance between it and the Tasybih (simile) and the Majaz (metaphor) because of many scholars have confused the distinction and balance between these rhetorical methods. Metonymy is a loose term that is intended other than its true meaning, although the original meaning is permissible, this definition emits simile because it is the truth, as well as a metaphor; Because of the presumption that prevents the will of the true meaning.
The research methodology will be descriptive and comparative. Where the researcher described the concept of metaphor, its elements, and types, then compares it with analogy and metaphor, and makes a balance between these important elements in the field of rhetoric until the status of each is discovered and the difference between them is evident.
As for the result of this research, it is that the metaphor is more eloquent than the metaphor and metaphor sent, and as for the analogy, it is the lowest in the degree of rhetoric.
